Since 1985 Dennis and Betsy Grafe have been active in church decorating, weddings, parties and special event floral design. In 2004 Dennis and Betsy Grafe started Grafe Studio in Chattanooga. They believe that every wedding or event is special and unique and this should be reflected in the floral design. They have earned the reputation for never doing any two weddings or events the same. Presently Dennis and Betsy are working in several aspects of the flower business, such as:
1. They are the floral merchandisers for Greenlife Grocery, Manufacturers Road, Chattanooga and Pruett’s Grocery, Taft Highway, Signal Mountain. In these locations they are responsible for providing all of the cut flower bouquets, live plants and decorative plant containers for the store. Also they provide organic herbs and vegetable plants from local gardeners at Greenlife in spring and summer.
2. Dennis and Betsy have initiated the Flower Club. This is a weekly fresh flower bouquet delivery to clients in the downtown Chattanooga business district.
3. The Grafes are involved in many of the events in Chattanooga and the surrounding areas. They do flowers and decorations for weddings, as well as centerpieces’ and floral designs for luncheons, dinners, parties, and corporate events.
4. They have taught floral classes for Chattanooga State Continuing Education Department, Harris Art Center, Calhoun Georgia, and Cohutta Springs Conference Center, Crandall, Georgia. They are also available to present lectures/demonstrations at church and civic meetings.
